Get an overview of invoices
You can view an invoice as soon as it’s sent to the customer. It appears on the Invoices page. Learn how to create an invoice and send it to your customer's email address.
Log in to your Clover dashboard.
From the left, select Sales activity > Invoices.
Review the invoice summary at the top of the page. It includes:
Amount collected (YTD): Total amount of paid invoices for the year.
Amount collected (30 days): Total amount of paid invoices for the past 30 days.
Unpaid balance: Total amount of unpaid invoices.
Pending: Number of pending invoices. An invoice is considered pending once it is sent to the customer.
Paid: Number of paid invoices. An invoice is considered paid once the customer's payment is successfully processed.
Overdue: Number of overdue invoices. An invoice is considered overdue when past its original due date.
Review the list of invoices, starting with the most recent date. Invoice details include the sent date, customer name, invoice ID, total amount, due date, and payment status. You don’t need to manually update an invoice. When payment is made, the invoice status automatically updates to Paid.
The payment status indicates the following:Overdue: Invoice is past its original due date.
Pending: Invoice sent to the customer, but payment has not been received as yet.
Paid: Invoice has been paid. The status updates automatically to Paid once the customer’s payment is successfully processed.
Expired: Invoice is past the expiration date. Unpaid invoices automatically expire after 180 days.
Canceled: Invoice was canceled by the merchant.
Failed: Issue with the customer’s payment—for example, an expired credit card.
From here, you can view an invoice for a specific customer.
